Understanding Our Field Experiment
Recap - we tested our wool pellets by applying 180 lbs. to an area under a pivot end gun, covering an area of 11,310 square feet with a total application of 1 lb. per 65 square feet.

Objectives of the Experiment
The field experiment had clear goals focused on understanding the impact of wool pellets on crop growth on a larger scale. Researchers aimed to analyze the following:
Assessing Nutrient Release: Results
Soil Test | |||
With Wool Pellets | Without Wool Pellets
Ph | 6.5 - 7 | 7.5 | |
Potash | K3 Sufficient | K1 Deficient
Phosphorus | P1 Deficient | P0 Depleted
Nitrogen | N1 Deficient | N0 Depleted |
As you can see from the results above, there were improvements in the soil treated with wool pellets. The soil could definitely use some more help, but over time, it will be interesting to see if it continues to improve.
Visual Observations

Visually, you could see that the section with the wool pellets applied had greener foliage than the area that did not have wool pellets. This difference was striking and suggests that wool pellets may enhance plant health.
Future Plans
Moving forward, we will continue to use wool pellets on a large scale. A few things we will do differently include applying at a higher rate to see if we observe different results. Additionally, we will try applying the pellets to the top of the soil to see if we can achieve the same positive effects.

Conclusion
In conclusion, our experiment with wool pellets has shown promising results. The initial findings suggest that these pellets can improve soil health and crop growth. As we continue our research, we hope to uncover more benefits of using wool pellets in agriculture. Stay tuned for updates as we explore this fascinating area further!
